About Me

From My Hands to Your Home
A note from Evelyn Mae Harper

Hello, dear friend.
My name is Evelyn Mae Harper, and for the past 18 years, I’ve been quietly creating stained-glass animal lamps in a little studio tucked behind my home in Asheville, North Carolina.

It all began not long after I lost my husband. Grief has a way of reshaping a life. In the stillness that followed, I found comfort in light. In the way color passes through glass. In the warmth of small things glowing in the dark. My first lamp was a tribute to our dog Daisy. I never expected others to fall in love with her too.

But you did.

You saw what I saw. That animals aren’t just pets. They’re memory-keepers, soul-companions, family. And that light isn’t just light. It’s hope. It’s healing. It’s home.

What started as a personal ritual turned into Evelyn’s Light, a small studio filled with creatures that shine. Each piece I've made is a story. Yours, mine, or one we share. Some remind us of those we’ve lost. Some bring color to lonely corners. Some simply make us smile.

Over the years, I’ve sent these lamps to hundreds of homes across the country. I’ve wrapped each one with care. Sometimes with tears. Always with love.

Now that I’m preparing to retire and close my studio, I want to offer you the last of what I’ve made. These are my final pieces. My last collection. And it means the world to me that they might find their way to someone who truly understands.

If you’ve ever spoken to your dog like she’s your best friend, or lit a lamp to make a house feel safe again, this is for you.

Thank you for letting a piece of my light live in your home.

With warmth and gratitude,
Evelyn
