About Us

A Lamp That Started With a Stray

We never meant to start a rescue.
It began with a single dog—cold, thin, and curled beneath our porch light one winter evening in Asheville, North Carolina. We named her Maggie, gave her a warm place to sleep, and promised her she was safe.

But then came another. And another.

We’re Evelyn and Robert, a retired nurse and woodworker. We’ve always loved animals. But after Maggie, that love became something else—a quiet calling.

Lighting the Way, One Lamp at a Time

To cover food, vet bills, and care, Robert started crafting stained-glass animal lamps by hand—each one inspired by the animals we've fostered.

When neighbors asked to buy them, we realized we had something powerful: a way for others to help, and a way for us to keep saying yes to the animals who show up at our gate.

What Your Lamp Supports

We’re a tiny, home-based refuge. We care for up to 30 animals at a time, working closely with local vets and foster families. Each lamp you purchase directly funds:

  • Spay and neuter services

  • Emergency and routine vet care

  • Food, bedding, and transport

  • Outreach and rehoming efforts

We post monthly updates with receipts and animal stories—so you always know exactly what your light made possible.

We Keep It Small, So It Stays Honest

We’re not a big company. Just two people doing what we can with our hands, hearts, and a small workshop. Every lamp is carefully crafted, packed, and sent with the same care we give to the animals in our home. No shortcuts. No fluff. Just honest work that does real good.

When You Bring a Lamp Home, You Bring Light to Theirs

Your purchase doesn’t go into a general fund—it goes straight to the next animal in need.

These lamps aren’t just art pieces. They’re porch lights for the lost. Beacons for second chances. Tokens of the care we all carry inside us.

Thank you for helping us keep the light on.
